Formerly Sodo Pizza, Mamma Dough separated from the east London Sodo Pizza group early in 2015 to become Mamma Dough. Happily there has been little change beyond the name (and the font on the menu). There’s a small and excellent menu of sourdough pizza, salad and beer.
The atmosphere is loud and informal, so any shrieking and other inappropriate behaviour will likely go unnoticed. There are high chairs and booster seats, and staff are happy to make half-size versions of their standard pizzas for kids, though you might be surprised at how much pizza your kids (and you for that matter) can eat. For a special treat, book the bar seats next to the oven and watch ‘the mans making the pizza’ as my two-year-old says.
